Roost
Last updated: May 17, 2026
This policy describes what data Roost collects, why, and how you can control it. It is written to be readable, not to hide behind legalese. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@roostgames.ca and we will fix the wording.
Roost is operated by Sunday Labs Inc., a company based in Canada. "We," "us," and "our" refer to Sunday Labs Inc. throughout this document.
When you open Roost for the first time, the app creates an anonymous account for you so that your streak, scores, and progress can be saved. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number to play.
The data tied to that anonymous account:
Pass-and-play multiplayer features ask you to type in player names. These names are stored only on your device for the duration of the round and are never sent to our servers.
All collected data is used for one purpose: making the app work and showing you your own progress. We do not use any of it for advertising, profiling, or analytics about you as an individual. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase in Canada. Our subscription processor, RevenueCat, may also receive your anonymous user identifier and subscription status to validate purchases. Both providers are bound by their own privacy policies and act as data processors on our behalf.
We retain your gameplay data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete it (see below), we remove your account and all associated data within 30 days.
You can request a copy of the data we hold on you, or ask us to delete it permanently, by emailing hello@roostgames.ca from a device where you have used the app. Because accounts are anonymous, we may ask you to verify identity by providing the anonymous user identifier shown in the app's settings screen.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK, or California), you may have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA — including the right to object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Roost is designed for adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and we hold their data, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy in a way that affects what data we collect or how we use it, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where required, notify you in the app. The current version is always at roostgames.ca/privacy.
